FLASHBACK

i am going to start trying a new thing, called flashback.
i know, i know, i always do these type of things and then stop doing them after a while.
but i want to try and keep this one going.

what i will do is post a picture a year from now,
as well as a picture from the same time, but this year.
mainly just huge events.
and ill do a reflection about it.
ill try to be positive when blogging about it,
with relationships and why things are different.

i think its good to look back, if its in a good sense.
its good to look back at fun memories,
lessons learned, friends that might not be around anymore,
and thinking how far i have come since then.

so, i will do my first flashback, as well as showing an example of what they will be like.

i will start with my birthday, because it was a little recent but not too far back.

FLASHBACK
my birthday, back on 2010 and now onto 2011
august 27th
this is my birthday 2010. i turned eighteen. it rained, like it does every birthday. (if you look real close at the window, you can see the rain drops.) which i love. my mom gave me dishes and stemless wine glasses and silverware, since she was kicking me out the next day. i was so young but i thought i was so mature... moving out makes you 10x more adult-like and you learn sooo much. the dishes matched my red kitchen i was about to have. my cake was red velvet. i remember that birthday was the first birthday i didn't wake up to presents on the table. every morning since i can remember i would wake up and come downstairs to presents on the table. but that year i woke up and everyone said "happy birthday" on their way out to school/work. i spent the day taking care of post-moving stuff and took a long nap. then i woke up and this was all out. and some random friend of my sister's met was there, so that was kinda awkward. i think this was the least favorite birthday i have ever had.

this was my nineteenth birthday, 2011. one of my favorite birthdays. it rained once again, i told you it rains every birthday.
makelle really did a lot of work to make it special- with a three layer strawberry, chocolate and lemon cake, with home-made icing. phillip hodgman also took me to melting pot, which was delicious and so fun. the whole weekend was a party acutally. i posted about it back in august, but i really felt loved and i got to spend it with the people i love the most. i will always remember this birthday (:

a year ago i had no idea that:
i would be so happy with life, even though its not what i had planned on the status i am in.

a year ago i was different because:
my mentallity was so different, my outlook on life was completely oblivious.

i am glad that:
i am definately not still where i was a year ago, in a sense of living, i definately have more closet space now (;
